Dr. Friedman provides individual psychotherapy to adults with a wide range of mental health conditions, including eating disorders or disordered eating, anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder, difficulty managing emotions, and coping with life transitions or stressors. She also has extensive experience working with individuals with disordered eating or negative body image following bariatric (weight loss) surgery.
Dr. Friedman conducts psychological assessments for the purposes of diagnostic clarification and treatment planning. Assessments are typically comprised of a combination of a clinical interview and self-report measures.
Dr. Friedman provides consultation services to health care professionals. Areas of expertise include delivery of cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) for eating disorders, anxiety/mood disorders, and OCD.
